Sub par food, bartender tried to substitute Hornitos for Herradura wouldn’t adjust the bill when caught!
They NEVER answer their phone! 928-753-2030
Ordered Herradurra tequila margaritas. Bartender poured Hornitos. Then over charged us at $14.00 per drink. Food was sub par. Ate here once before and was ver dissatisfied. Tried to give this place a second chance. More disappointed on this visit than the last. How do you try to pass off a cheaper tequila and yet over charge your customers?!! We will NEVER be back! On a scale of 1 to 5 you score a negative 5.
I have lived on two different bays (Tampa and Chesapeake) for at least half my life and so I really know and love seafood and especially love whole fish meals. Being in the middle of a desert, I knew that it would be difficult to find any seafood that would meet my approval.
I looked online at all the available restaurants in Kingman and was truly getting very discouraged with the dining situation here. When I found Oyster's menu, I was pleasantly surprised since they do offer a whole Red Snapper dish. I love Red Snapper, as it is one of my most favorite fish of them all! And Huachinango is one of my most favorite ways to prepare this wonderful, flaky, firm, white fish. However, Oysters does not prepare Huachinango, but instead, it is served in a different manner than I have ever seen!
The dish is called Pescado Zarandeado and it is both amazingly delicious and very different from any other whole fish dish that I have ever been served. A whole Red Snapper that is cut butterfly style and seasoned with garlic salt and pepper, then smeared with a mix of sauces and mayonnaise and then cooked on the grill. It is served with green bell pepper, onion, tomato, jalapeno, Pico de Gallo, gauc, and your choice of tortillas.
Don't be put off by the mayo! It is the secret to the crispy texture on the outside of the fish and it becomes very tasty! The meat inside is firm, flaky and FRESH! Oh my, this is one amazing fish dish and I will be back to have this dish again and again.
Before discovering Oysters, I thought that if I want a great seafood dinner while living in Kingman, I would have to drive to Las Vegas to get it. Nope! Just go to Oysters!
Since the COVID virus is a threat still, I waited until the off hours, just after 2 PM to show up and there was only one other customer at that time. The restaurant is spacious enough so at this time of day, the place is basically empty enough to be a good 20 feet or more away from the next customer. As a seafood lover, I totally recommend the Pescado Zarandeado, however, they have an extensive and very appealing menu to choose from.
WOW! First time in Kingman and First Time at Oyster's Mexican Seafood. Saw they had Red Snapper on the Menu and knew my new 21 year old and I were heading there this evening. Best Culinary Decision I've Made In Years! This Family, and their restaurant are Amazing! Service is what one would expect in a 5 Star Restaurant. Attentive without being intrusive. But, That FOOD! Ordered the Snapper, New 21 year old Adult Child had first ever Pina Colada and Enchiladas. Salsa served with chips was just the start of the amazing flavor profile we were about to embark on. We also ordered the Queso, and this was a step above the salsa - both were well made AND Home Made. The Enchilada was a flavor parade on the palate - savory, cheesy, mild spice with soft in texture corn tortillas, yet subtle in well defined flavor!
Now, THAT SNAPPER! The Snapper is a whole fish - seasoned and split in the middle, - Grilled, then adorned with onions, peppers, and jalapeno peppers, wrapped in Foil, placed back on the Grill and Roasted to Absolute Perfection. I sprinkled the Snapper with the Lime wedges and Orange slice garnishes. Then, I took my first bite. This was an absolute Culinary Experience! I looked at my 21 year old Adult Child and stated "I am going to Cry! OMG! This Is The Best Snapper I've Ever Had!" I was in Culinary Heaven! A Table of 8 men sat next to us (6 feet away) after our meal, and I encouraged them to order the Snapper! One man did. I looked at my Daughter and said 'They are in for a surprise!' I then told a Server to order one for the middle of their table for those who chose other entrees. This Restaurant is Amazing! But that is no surprise. I met the Mom, Dad, and Son who own Oyster's Mexican Seafood. Their respect and appreciation for their Guests, their ability to Create Authentic Mexican food is a Tribute to their Heritage, and Their Desire and Drive to Ensure Each and Every Dish is Created with Consistency, and Their Understanding that Every Dish Should be Cooked and Presented the Same as the First Dish of he Evening, is Proven by the Number of People Scattered Around Their Dining Rooms the Entire Time We Enjoyed Our Experience. This wasn't just another casual dinner out. This was Truly a Dining Experience! Thank You for Making the Last Day of My Daughter's 21st Birthday Experience with Her Mom Extra Special!
We visited Oysters on October 27, 2019 on the second last day of an Arizona Vacation. Recommended by the front desk at the Best Western, the choice of Oysters was a perfect ending to a perfect vacation. The service by Erica and the food by Jo Jo was the tremendous. We're not sure when we'll be back in Arizona, but when we return, Oysters will be a destination for us. Thank you Oysters for helping make our vacation special.
A refreshing dinner after a long day on the road. The shrimp and red snapper - fresh - cooked with perfection - served hot - and the spices/sauce tasty/exquisite. Wait staff friendly, efficient.. could not ask for more.. we will be back.
I ordered delivery to a hotel I was staying at for the night. I ordered the flautas with shredded beef and chips with guacamole. The food was super delicious. My only complaint is I received chicken flautas. It was tasty but not what I ordered. The guacamole was really good and the chips fresh and crispy.
The food is and always has been outstanding. However, the last 4 times we have eaten there, the service has been terribly slow. It takes 15-20 minutes just to have our order taken. Then another 30-40 minutes to get our food. I hope some changes will be made back to when the service was good, because it is the best Mexican food around.
The service was excellent for a woman by herself. Seated as soon as I walked in. Margarita amazing. Salsa perfect. Can’t wait for seafood fajitas. Very clean and friendly very friendly waitress. Well it was good however far too many onions not much sauce and corn tortillas very very dry. Don’t think it’s worth second visit for sure
